In the inaugural episode of Dreamer Dialogues, we had the pleasure of conversing with Jo Davis, a seasoned professional artist, entrepreneur, and creativity guide. With a career spanning over two decades, Jo has traversed various artistic endeavors, from founding her digital design agency to launching her line of home products, Pancakes For Breakfast.

As a creativity guide, Jo draws upon her rich experiences and formal education, including stints at Tulane University, FIT in New York, and the Rhode Island School of Design. Her journey led her from the bustling streets of San Francisco to the vibrant artistic community of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

One of Jo’s notable ventures is her line of products, Pancakes For Breakfast, inspired by her time in Panama and aimed at fostering creativity in everyday life. Her dedication to promoting creativity extends beyond her products, as she actively engages in community-based art installations and public art programs.

During the conversation, Jo shared insights into her current exhibition, “Pathways & Formations,” at Curio. in Lancaster, where she delves into the interconnectedness of her artistic journey through various mediums, from paintings to mixed media pieces and watercolors. Additionally, she highlighted her upcoming artist talk on March 5th, offering attendees a glimpse into her creative process and inspirations.

A recurring theme throughout our dialogue was the importance of authenticity in one’s work.We discussed and revisited the notion that it’s not merely about what you do but who you are, and how you bring that authenticity to the forefront of your endeavors. This authenticity shines through in Jo’s approach to her businesses, where she infuses her unique personality and passion into every project.

Moreover, Jo’s ability to navigate multiple businesses while ensuring each receives the attention it deserves underscores the importance of prioritization and balance in entrepreneurship. Her journey serves as a testament to the power of staying true to oneself and embracing your own creative identity.

Jo’s journey is truly inspiring, as she has crafted a life based on her authentic self and passions. Her intuitive creativity and grounded approach to business are evident in her ability to let her true self guide her steps.
