#BlackOutTuesday

Pennant's blog has been on hiatus since mid 2020, but is preparing for a return in 2023

We are watching what is happening in our country. There is hurt. There is fear. There is violence. There is conflict. We are taking this moment to reflect on the ways we interact with our neighbors, friends, and family – and to amplify the voices of those experiencing trauma.

Pennant Creatives provides services for a wide variety of people, businesses, and organizations. And one of our core values is listening. We have been listening a lot lately – and more urgently now due to the horrible murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery – and all in the Black community who were so wrongly killed, hurt, or oppressed.  Pennant welcomes everyone who themselves are welcoming to all.

And to those who actively discriminate based on age, culture, disabilities, ethnic origin, gender, gender identity, marital status, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status: we urge, pray, and demand for you to open your hearts and begin to show empathy.

We seek peace; we pray for peace.  But until we resolve the injustice in our citizen-funded justice system and the incitement of hatred (or the silence in its presence) of our elected representatives, we understand that our country will never have peace.  Not during these times of active protest, and not during the times when our focus is on other matters.

Today and always, Black Lives Matter.

We are committed to anti-racist causes and activism in our own community and industry, and we will continue those efforts well into the future.
